A great shopping city The love of Shopping
Need a bit of retail therapy – quality time with no rush? Not for urgent requirements, but maybe to treat someone special – or just spoil yourself.
Aachen’s picturesque old quarter is just the right place, with its little shops offering a host of different specialities: pipes from across the world, tea blends to suit every palate, off-the-wall fashion jewellery, candles in all shapes and sizes, model railways for boys-at-heart and really creative gift ideas with typical Aachen flair …. the list goes on and on!
Boutiques and international grocery stores in Aachen
Even a date with the great designers of this world is on the cards if you wish: Gucci, Prada, Armani, Escada, Joop, Jil Sander, Toni Gard and Tommy Hilfiger are all in our prestigious line-up. The choice, as always, is a matter of taste and price. Boutiques beckon with up-to-the-minute labels, and department stores offer (almost) everything under one roof.
And when it comes to being a home from home, Aachen offers all the cuisines you can think of – with Belgian, Italian, Turkish and Asian grocery stores ready and waiting with all the ingredients you need.
A shopping trip to Aachen is really fun! With modern pedestrian precincts, the historical atmosphere round the Cathedral (Aachener Dom) and the City Hall (Aachener Rathaus), multistorey car parks within easy reach – all signposted showing the number of free spaces – and, of course, with everything close to hand, you’ll love it. And when you fancy a breather, soak up the atmosphere at a lovely bar or café.
